Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Mission Hills

Mission Hills is named for Mission San Fernando Rey de España, founded in 1797, which still sits across the street from Brand Park. Around it are quiet streets of ranch homes and family houses, with apartments closer to Sepulveda and San Fernando Mission Boulevard.

Most homes here are single-family, so a porch, a side gate or the driveway is the easiest handoff. Near Providence Holy Cross Medical Center there are more apartments and condos, and a building code or the manager’s office works well.

Hospital staff, teachers and families with kids at the local schools all run into the same problem: laundry piles up during the week. A weekday pickup means a clear weekend.

Many Mission Hills families have lived in the same ranch homes for decades, and some households now include grandparents who would rather not carry heavy baskets out to a garage washer. A pickup at the front door solves that. Anyone at home can hand off the bags, and the folded laundry comes back to the same spot, ready to put away.

The area around Mission San Fernando is one of the oldest parts of the San Fernando Valley, and the mission still draws visitors and school groups through the year. Around it, Mission Hills feels like a small town inside the city, with tree-lined streets, single-family homes and neighbors who have known each other for years. Many households include working parents, grandparents and kids, and the laundry shows it, with school uniforms, scrubs and work clothes all in the same week. Church clothes and outfits for baptisms, first communions and weddings can go to dry cleaning in the same pickup, priced per item. Comforters start at $26.99 for a twin, and rugs are $3.50 per square foot. If you work long shifts at Providence Holy Cross, leave your bags out before you go and pick an afternoon window.

Brand Park, across from the mission, hosts family gatherings and school field trips, and the streets around it are quiet and easy to stop on. If you live on a busier road like Sepulveda or Rinaldi, a driveway or side gate is a safer spot for the handoff than the curb.
