Laundry Pickup & Delivery in Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock is a neighborhood of Craftsman and Spanish-style homes, many tucked into the hills between Glendale and Highland Park, with Colorado Boulevard running through the middle. Occidental College brings students and faculty, and the rest of the neighborhood leans toward families and people working from home.

On the flatter streets near Colorado and Yosemite, the porch or a driveway is the easiest handoff. Up in the hills near Hill Drive and above Oxy, the streets are narrow and winding, so mention where the driver can stop. If you rent a room or apartment near campus, a building entrance or a side gate usually works best.

Older homes here often have the washer squeezed into a service porch or the garage. If yours is small or slow, sending out the big weekly loads makes a real difference.

Eagle Rock has become a neighborhood of young families and creative professionals, many of whom work from home at least part of the week. That makes it easy to be home for a pickup window, or to leave the bags on the porch before the school run. Weekly wash and fold keeps kids’ clothes, sheets and towels moving, and dry cleaning can go out in the same pickup.

Colorado Boulevard has become a destination for coffee, restaurants and small shops, and many of the people who work there live nearby. Shift work and weekend hours make weekday mornings the easiest time for a pickup: leave your bags on the porch or by the gate before you head out, and they come back folded within 24 to 48 hours. Families near the Eagle Rock Recreation Center and the schools along Yosemite Drive can send school clothes, sports gear and bedding together, charged by weight. Comforters start at $26.99 for a twin and rugs are $3.50 per square foot. If you’re a student near Oxy, splitting an order with a housemate is an easy way to reach the $50 minimum.

The neighborhood takes its name from the Eagle Rock itself, the big sandstone boulder at the north end of Figueroa, and the trails around it are a weekend favorite. Dusty hiking clothes and gym gear go in your wash and fold, and anything technical or delicate can be noted in your booking so the team knows before it’s washed.
