Laundry Service in Santa Monica
Apartments, condos and houses between the pier and Montana
A lot of Santa Monica lives in older apartment buildings, many of them rent-controlled, where the laundry room is a couple of shared machines in the garage. If you’re tired of waiting for a free dryer or hunting for quarters, a weekly pickup takes the whole chore off your list.
Downtown, most buildings near the Third Street Promenade and along Ocean Avenue have a front desk or a package room, which makes the handoff easy. North of Montana and in Sunset Park it’s mostly houses, so bags usually wait by the front door or a side gate. In Ocean Park, street parking off Main Street fills up fast, so a note about an alley or a driveway helps the driver.
Students near Santa Monica College and people working long shifts at the hospitals on Santa Monica Boulevard often have the least time for laundry. Wash and fold fits that kind of schedule: bag it, leave it out, and it comes back folded.
Good to Know in Santa Monica
A few things that make pickups easier here
Sand and salt
Shake beach towels and swimsuits out at home before bagging them. Sand left in the bag ends up in the machines, so a quick shake saves a lot of grit.
Rent-controlled buildings
Older buildings often have one washer and dryer for eight or more units. If that sounds familiar, a weekly order means you never plan around your neighbors’ laundry schedule again.
Street sweeping days
Parking rules change by block and by day here. If your street has a sweeping day, booking a window on a different day makes it easier for the driver to stop right outside.
Wash and Fold in Santa Monica
Wash and fold is charged by weight at $3.25 per pound, with a $50 minimum that covers about 15 pounds. Beach towels, swimsuits, bedding and a week of work clothes go in the same bag and come back folded and ready to put away. If you need detergent for sensitive skin, add it to your booking notes.
Dry Cleaning Pickup in Santa Monica
Send dry cleaning out with your laundry and it all comes back on the same trip. A suit for a downtown meeting runs $30.49, a dress shirt laundered and pressed is $8.99, and a wool coat is $28.49. Comforters, rugs, suede, leather and wedding gowns are priced per item too.
Pickup Times and ZIP Codes
Santa Monica pickups cover ZIP codes 90401 through 90405. Weekdays only, 8 AM to 4 PM: book a two-hour slot, or take the whole morning or afternoon if your day is unpredictable. Same-day turnaround costs $14.99 more, when the schedule has room.

Quick answers before you book
Do you pick up from apartments with a shared laundry room?
Yes. Leave your bag at your door, in the lobby or with the building manager, whatever your building allows, and add a note when you book.
Can you wash sandy beach towels?
Yes. Shake out what you can and put them in with the rest of your wash and fold. Towels are charged by weight like everything else.
Where do you leave my order in Ocean Park if parking is tight?
Wherever you tell us. Some people prefer the back door or a gate off the alley, so add it to your booking notes.
Which ZIP codes count as Santa Monica?
90401, 90402, 90403, 90404 and 90405. If you’re in a Venice or Brentwood ZIP code, we cover those too.
Can I add dry cleaning to my laundry pickup?
Yes. Put dry cleaning in a separate bag and list the items when you book. It comes back with your folded laundry.
Do you deliver to buildings on Ocean Avenue with a doorman?
Yes. The doorman or front desk can take your bags and your delivery. Mention it in your booking notes so the driver asks for the right person.
What’s the fastest I can get laundry back in Santa Monica?
Same-day turnaround is $14.99 extra if there’s room in that day’s schedule. Otherwise expect your order within 24 to 48 hours.
